All hail the foetus!
Read an article on Salon.com today about a family guy who innocently took pictures of his kids, some of them naked, whilst on a family camping trip. Then had them developed at Eckerd Drugs. BIG PROBLEMS ensued, as the Eckerd employee reported the "pornographic" pictures to the local police.
Enter a year and a half of hell for the family and their friends and relatives.
Even worse, I read another article today on Alternet...about how some southern Senator wants to make it a crime for a pregnant woman to smoke cigarettes.
What's going on here? Since when do the rights of a glob of cells supercede mine? My parents have pictures of me and my sister bare-ass naked on baby blankets when we were babies. Are they pornographers? Would they pass the Eckerd's test? Remind me never to shop at Eckerd's again.
I am sick to death of how child centered this society is becoming.
Children don't enjoy greater rights than I do. They enjoy the same. That's it.
